LMH1228: LMH1228RTVT MSL level Confirmation

Hello,

DigiKey received the LMH1228RTVT and need help with MSL level. We have in our system as MSL 3 but the label lists it as MSL 2. I checked on the official TI MSL tool and it lists it as MSL 1. Can we get a confirmation on what the MSL level should be?

Hi Erik,

From the LMH1228 Datasheet I see this device is MSL 1. The label on the devices you've received state they are MSL 2?

Hi Erik,

I believe LMH1228 was re-qualified to MSL 1 and you have received parts from before that requalification took place. When a part MSL is improved through requalification, the existing inventory will still show the previous MSL. After the existing inventory is depleted new devices should show the MSL 1 rating.

For the devices you have I recommend treating them as MSL 2 as they would have been qualified for this MSL when produced (The label should take precedence).
