PCA9515B: Why is there no ACK on the PCA9515B?

Part Number: PCA9515B

Tool/software:

Dear Specialists,

PCA9515B is missing an ACK bit.

A related thread suggested that VOL was over 400mV.

The customer additionally confirmed VOL.

However, The VILC voltage on the master side is 375mV, which satisfies the requirement that VILC ≤ 400mV.

This also satisfies the datasheet note (1) that "VILC must be at least 70mV lower than VOL," as VOL - VILC = 105mV.

Furthermore, VILC on the slave side was approximately 170mV, which was an acceptable result.

The above results confirm that the recommended operating conditions for the part are met.

Could you please advise what is the reason of this phenomenon?
