A diode is included between ISENSE and GND.

Hi Yuka,

The diode is kept for the protection of ISENSE pin
If the diode is not there the inrush current might damage the ISENSE pin
You can use an ultrafast diode
The diode Vf should be greater than the maximum PCL threshold (–0.438 V) and less than –1.1 V across temperature and component variations

You can look into this section of the datasheet to understand the reason better.
