Hello,

we want to generate a 1 Gbit/s SPE interface from a PCIe interface. To do so we plan to connect an I210-IS to the PCIe and its SGMII interface to the DP83TG720S-Q1 PHY which generates the 1 Gbit/s SPE. Do you see any issues with this architecture?

Also, what are the main differences between the DP83TG720S-Q1 and the DP83TG721S-Q1?

    Hi Jakob,

    No issues with connecting to the 1210-IS SGMII interface.

    The DP83TG721S includes all features of the DP83TG720S with the addition of Time Synchronization and Clock generation (IEEE1588v2/802.1AS)  for Audio, Video or other ADAS applications.
