I did not fully understand the transformer connection. If i connect it as you mentioned, wouldn’t it result in a non-isolated configuration?

Also, could you please confirm whether the connection between FG and DG should be parallel instead of series?

This was a mistake in my initial response, but your overall block diagram looks correct. 

Please also see this DP83822 reference design, https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidud02a/tidud02a.pdf. We are able to pass IEC61000-4-2 8kV class B with it.

Hello.

I reviewed the ESD test results on page 43 of the data you provided. According to the relevant table, it seems that Frame Lost and Rx Loss occurred in ESD test. However, I am concerned whether communication could be interrupted when a Frame Lost occurs.

In my own experiments, I also observed occurrences of Rx Loss and Frame Lost. I would like to know if there is any way to minimize or prevent this as much as possible.

I would appreciate your confirmation.

However, we are currently using the RGMII communication interface.

Unfortunately we do not have an Ethernet PHY that can support RGMII and pass IEC 61000-4-2 ESD Direct Contact 8kV Class A.
