Does anyone have any experience equalizing Cat-5/6/7 twisted pair cable with LMH0074 or similar. I would use it with 125Mbps 4B5B NRZI signal.
What could be the maximum feasible cable length?

The same technology used in the LMH0074 is used in the DS15EA101 which you can find here: http://www.ti.com/product/ds15ea101
The DS15EA101 is characterized and guaranteed to operate with twisted pair cable, and the datasheet should have what you are looking for in it.
Max cable length will depend on datarate, but with 125Mbps, and a benign coding like 4B5B, you should be able to support over 100m
Hello Mark,
Thank you for the info. LMH0074 looked me a good candidate because the higher speed devices (might) have higher bandwidth I do not really need. I was afraid to have too much gain at high frequency where I have no signal normally. On the other hand my target is the 2-300m range. Anyway, I'm going to check your proposal.
