TS3DV642-Q1: C - PHY TRIO Signals Routing On SCL and SDA pins

Hello TI team,

We are considering using P/N: TS3DV642-Q1 in our design for a MIPI C-PHY CSI-2 based camera interface. During the PCB layout phase, we observed that routing would be significantly simplified with shorter trace length, if we could utilize the SCL and SDA pins for C-PHY trio signal lines. Could you please confirm whether the SCL and SDA pins on this device can be repurposed for C-PHY trio signals?

    Hi Saurabh,

    Yes, you can repurpose them. All the I/O's are rated the same and are symmetrical, so the naming convention on the pins is just a recommendation. As long as you are within spec of the device, any signal can go through any of the I/O channels.
