SN75LVPE3410: Getting I2C interface working

I am trying to use this as an agnostic redriver for SATA 2 and it's not working. I am trying to talk to the chip via the I2C interface and can not get the chip to respond.

Can you please share a schematic of your setup? In addition, could you please share the I2C commands used and describe the issues you are seeing?

Hi Greg,

We did get the chip working, without being able to get the I2C working. A design change on a mating board caused us to not have series caps on the host side Rx. Still, it would be nice to know why we aren't able to talk to the chip. Where can I upload a shot of the schematic?
