DS90UB9702-Q1: Interfacing TI 9702 with TI 971 Serializer

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade a video system using two TI 953 Serializers with a TI 9702 outputting a CMLOut signal to another TI 9702 deserializer to instead use two TI 971 serializers.  I have replaced the 953 with the 971 (the datasheets mention that they are pin for pin compatible) and am unable to establish an FPD-link between the 9702 and the 971.  I have the following questions:
Would it be possible to receive sample code for detecting the 971 from the 9702?

Can you verify that no electrical modifications should be needed when transitioning from a 953 to a 971?

    Hello Jeffrey,

    In the email thread, I mentioned that LPF1 capacitors have different values between the 953 and 971. You can change the capacitor value accordingly and see if that helps.

    Besides that, you may need to run a different script to connect the 9702 to the 971. Are you referencing the B7 initialization script and using the correct options to connect a 9702 to a 971?

    Thanks for the quick reply Justin. 
    The capacitor will definitely need to be updated.  As for the initialization script, I am referencing section 8.4.1.1 in the 9702 datasheet (specifically synchronous mode), which mentions to contact TI for the full script.
