DP83869HM: Reset over MDIO

Tool/software:

If I make a Reset by writing 0x8000 to register 0x1F, does this also affect the RESET_N pin? 

I have three DP83869HM in my system and I use a Reset signal on the RESET_N pin instead of the 100Ω resistor and 47uF capacitor. If I send 0x8000 to offset 0x1F of one PHY all other PHYs reset too.

    Hi Martin, 

    That is not the expected behavior unless all the PHYs have the same PHY address. If they all have the same address, all three PHYs will respond to 0x8000 to 0x1F and reset the PHY. Because RESET_N is an input pin, we do not expect to send signals out.
