Hi, I am using DS280DF810EVM with SigCon Architect software. On the software PRBS Gen/Checkr tab, why is there a unit on the Error Rate (bits/min) ? shouldn't the error rate be:

Number of Bit Errors / Total Number of Transmitted Bits ?

What does it mean by bits/min?

and the number is showing 1*10^-8,
What does it mean by 1*10^-8 bits/min? It does not make any sense to me.

Hi Chenxuan,

The capture period for the SigCon GUI PRBS checker is defined in minutes, so the error rate is listed in bits/min as well. The number you see here for Error Rate is the Error Count(bits) divided by Bit Count. In the screenshot, this is 2047/1.818E+11 = 1.12596E-8.
