DP83822I: Question about "100Base-TX Line Driver Swing Select" register

Part Number: DP83822I

Tool/software:

Hello guys,

One of my customers is evaluating DP83822IRHBT for their new products.

They executed a compliance test for Ethernet 100Base-TX, but it failed the test
due to insufficient output voltage amplitude. As a workaround, they changed
"100Base-TX Line Driver Swing Select" register setting from 1100 to 1110,
and it passed the test.

They have the following question.
Could you please give me your reply?

Q.
When they changed "100Base-TX Line Driver Swing Select" register setting from 1100 to 1110 like the above,
are there any points they should be aware of or any potential negative effects?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kazuya.
