Please help with the following questions.

1. The connection between UB933 and UB934 has failed; both the PASS and LOCK are low. What point can I check with the issue?

2. How to set the input mode for 8-bit?

3. Can UB934 support any other format except RAW, such as YUV,...?

    Thanks for reaching out with this question. Could you share some details about your test setup? In terms of video format, the UB934 can output the data sent by the UB933 & corresponding sensor, regardless of the data type. 

    For these devices the mode is configured from the strap pin of the deserializer, and loaded over the back channel to the serializer. In this case the link will be in either RAW12 LF, RAW12 HF, or RAW10 mode. If 8 bit input mode is desired, RAW10 can be used. This is most important when a CSI-2 deserializer is used as the 8 bit video format must be defined (either as upper or lower 8 bits of RAW10) to covert this video stream to CSI-2 format.

  • Hi Sir,

    Another question, as the datasheet, the PCLK frequency only support Min. frequncy of 37.5 or 50MHz in 12bits and 10bits mode.

    Customer use AVS7150 and the image sensor only provide lower PCLK of 37.125MHz, what problem will occur? 

    Is there any way to adjust the UB933 or UB934 to support such PCLK?

    Could you share if the AVS7150 will operate with PCLK mode or external oscillator shown below? Is the output of this sensor 8 bit, 10 bit, or 12 bit?

    Cusotmer uses PCLK mode now, and the sensor output is 8bits mode.

    Still needs to check the support issue if the sensor cannot provide PCLK below 375.MHz!

    The highlighted PCLK rate is below the recommended operating conditions of the device. We won't be able to guarantee the link performance outside of datasheet specified range.
