DP83TD510E: Confirmation on RESET Pull-Up Connection for DP83TD510ERHBR

Part Number: DP83TD510E

Tool/software:

We are following the recommended power-up sequence for the DP83TD510ERHBR (TI), with VDDIO powering up first, followed by VDDA. For the device reset, we have connected the RESET pin’s pull-up resistor to VDDA (the last rail to power up) so that RESET stays asserted until VDDA is stable. Could you please confirm if it is acceptable to connect the RESET pull-up to VDDA instead of VDDIO?

  • Hi,

It is recommended to connect RST_N to VDDIO not VDDA. While in your application. VDDA may be the last rail to power up, the RST pin on the device has an internal PU and would inherently remain in reset until the last supply powers up, whichever one it may be, so there is no need to tie it to VDDA.
