Tool/software:
Hi,
I am currently considering using the TPS62230 as a 2.5 V supply for an Altera Cyclone 10 LP FPGA (VCCIO = 2.5 V).
According to the FPGA requirements, the supply voltage must ramp up within 50 µs to 3 ms.
To ensure compatibility, I would like to confirm the following points:
-
Based on the datasheet, the soft-start time of TPS62230 (EN high → VOUT reaching nominal voltage) is typically about 100 µs. Could you please clarify the minimum and maximum expected range for this parameter?
-
Is it correct to assume that TPS62230 can reliably meet the FPGA requirement of 50 µs to 3 ms ramp-up time?
-
If EN is tied directly to VIN, is it correct that the startup delay will include the time for VIN to rise above the EN threshold before the ~100 µs soft-start begins?
Your confirmation on the above points would be highly appreciated, as we need to ensure that TPS62230 is a suitable choice for this application.
Thank you very much for your support.
