TUSB2E11: Power Consumption with Attach Interrupt Enabled

Part Number: TUSB2E11

Tool/software:

Hi expert,

Customer is interested in the state where USB device is disconnected and the TUSB2E11 is waiting for an Attach event and has been configured to generate Attach interrupt. Does both 3.3V and 1.8V rails needs to be kept on while in this state?
The spec says nominal power consumption while in this state is 43uW. Is that still true with Attach interrupt enabled?

Thank you!

McKenna

  • Hi McKenna,

Yes, the 3.3V and 1.8V rail need to be kept on while in the unattached state. Is the customer looking for some sort of lower-power mode while waiting for the attach interrupt?

The spec says nominal power consumption while in this state is 43uW. Is that still true with Attach interrupt enabled?

Yes, this is still true. There should only be a negligible amount of power consumption added while in this state due to the interrupt.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
