Hi Bruno,
If the input signals can become output ports, then this is generally not a good idea as higher VOL levels will be as a result of the external pullups and internal 40k/4kohm pullups acting in parallel. Otherwise, if the port is only input, then this shouldn't be an issue as the driver would be able to override the hold by the resistance of the external pullups/ internal pullups.
