TCAN1046AV-Q1: is RXD impacted by VCC input or only by VIO?

Hi CAN Experts--

My customer is testing sleep mode and reverse wakeup with CAN transceiver. When the VCC is shut off they are seeing the RXD decreasing but the block diagram of the device shows the RXD is a function of the VIO. Is there a relationship between VCC and RXD?

    Hi Reed,

    Yes, RXD gets its inputs from CANH and CANL. CANH and CANL functions with VCC. Hence, the device requires VCC for normal operation.

    This implies I/O pin valid thresholds are based on VIO I.e., VIH / VIL for example will be based on VIO but VCC is still required for the overall operation of the device, thanks.
