extend question based on above E2E.

customer want to try connecting it using a DISCRETE method (as shown in the figure below). Are there any changes needed in the parameter settings?

    Hi,

    If they are snooping the bus from the HV side, then the MODE pin must be set to either 0 (Fixed Rx EQ and DDC Buffer Enabled) or 1 (Flexible RX EQ and DDC Buffer Enabled). 

    If the discrete DDC level shifter does not have internal pullup resistors, then you would also need to have external pullup resistors.
