Hi Sir,

Since the SN65DP141RLJR is going end of life, may I know what the differences are between the SN65DP141RLJR and the SN65DP141RLJRG4?

Is there any document that explains the differences between the two devices?

Hi,

G4 stands for the PN associated with "green" devices - ie Pb free and Tin Free devices. But the functionality is the same between the two.

Unfortunately, all DP141, include RG4 will be EOL'ed.

That is somewhat unexpected, as the TI homepage still lists the G4 variant as active and Mouser lists it as a new device.

Can you recommend an alternative IC?

Hi,

Are you using it as a DisplayPort re-driver? For same functionality, you can use TDP142 which can support up to DP1.4 8.1Gbps, or TDP2004 which can support up to DP2.1 20Gbps. Both parts are not pin-to-pin compatible with DP141.
