DS90UB933-Q1: DS90UB933-Q1 connection issue

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB962-Q1,

Dear Engineer,

DS90UB933-Q1 is used for 360 degree panoramic cameras and is paired with the DS90UB962-Q1 deserializer on the client side. However, in real vehicles, a black screen phenomenon occurs, where all four cameras go black and do not display.

From the driver log, it can be seen that the link and lock status of the four cameras of DS90UB962-Q1 are normal, and there are no i2c error anomalies in the read and write registers. However, the video stream was not received when the upper layer opened, resulting in a black screen when reversing.
May I ask if you have encountered similar situations with customers on your end, and under what circumstances may the link status of DS90UB962-Q1 be normal but the video stream be abnormal (considering the situation where DS90UB962-Q1 is not outputting or outputting abnormally)?
During initialization, the software only configured DS90UB962-Q1, and there was no register for the serial port DS90UB933-Q1 configured on the camera end.

  • Hi Allen,

Do you have a register map of the UB962 when this issue occurs? Please provide a register dump of the UB962 for each individual RX port as we will be able to better pin point potential error once this is received. As the UB962 is paired with the UB933 please ensure 0x70 or 0x71 is programmed for the intended CSI-2 data type.

Secondly, what is the reoccurrence rate of this issue? If using synchronous forwarding on the UB962 we would expect a similar result if there is an error in the sensor start. In synchronous forwarding, the UB962 will wait for all RX port data to be received before output which may result in a similar behavior as shown here.

    Best,

    Zoe
