DP83TC811R-Q1: How to capture SEND_Z and SEND_I information from client perspective.

Hi Nirmal,

To capture SEND_Z and SEND_I there needs to be a PHY configured as Master.  Two PHYs configured as slaves will transmit SEND_Z only, there needs to be a Master PHY present to transmit SEND_I.

1. Could you please help me by share the code snippet in TI driver where it triggers for SEND_Z and on request from Master how it transfer SEND_I.

2. is there any way I can simulate master with  my host system.

1. Could you please confirm that TI DP83TC811R-Q1 chip set is following the Link-Up process as per the protocol document you shared earlier. Request is for sharing any kind of probe screenshot or sniffer tool snippet is also fine to have.(Our requirement is link-up process to be happened within in 5 sec from boot up or power-up. does this chipset meeting our requirement.) 

2. Is it mentioned somewhere in the datasheet as well, how the link up process happening especially the timing information.

The DP83TC811 has passed OA 100BASE-T1 interop test suite which tests linkup timing with several link partners(Link up times are well below 100ms).  I've send a separate request you can accept and I can provide this report. 

The linkup handshake is not detailed in the datasheet, the link to the document I provided above describes the handshake.

There is a link status bit(Bit 2) in the BSMR register 0x0001.  

I assume the 5 second requirement for linkup includes the time for power-up and PHY configuration?  The linkup exchange itself is very fast relative to that time requirement.

Power-up timing and config for the PHY is also relatively fast compared to 5s.
