Hi all,

I'm considering SN75LVDS82 as a receiver for my camera module to main chipset (LVDS to parallel). However, LVDS82 does not accept 1.8V like what the LVDS83B does. Meaning to say that I have to add an extra level shift in between. Is there any other solutions that work like the LVDS83B but a receiver instead?

I've also considered mipi receiver SN65LVDS315 but not quite right since my processor has 8bit interface (DVI) and my camera has MIPI interface.

In addition, any idea where I can get MIPI spec? Our intention is to interface two camera modules on one MIPI interface. Not sure can this be supported.

Lee,

The MIPI Organization maintains the MIPI specifications.

I am not aware of any single chip that can bridge DVI to MIPI.

The SMIA CCP2 spec is out on the web, and its Class 0 mode is virtually the same as MIPI CSI-1. http://www.sunex.com/SIMA/SMIA_CCP2_specification_1.0.pdf Otherwise, like Dan said, when you're a MIPI member you gain access to their specs.

All our TIA/EIA-644 LVDS receivers output 3.3V parallel. The only other idea I can suggest is, if sensors can output 1.8V parallel, then you could use a SubLVDS SerDes to have a long serial link between your sensor and processor, and your processor would get 1.8V.

Lee, the primary SubLVDS devices are SN65LVDS301 and SN65LVDS302. There are also a few variants which have pins tied internally to allow a 48-pin BGA. Foremost, the devices provide a 1.8V SerDes, on up to 27-bits, from 4-65MHz.
