TMUXHS4212: Issue with SATA

Hi Team,

Posting on behalf of our customer.

I have an issue with the TMUXHS4212 and SATA signals.
I’m using this multiplexer to switch between a PCIe link and a SATA link routed to an M.2 Key B connector. The setup works perfectly when a PCIe device is inserted, but a SATA SSD is never detected.
Both SEL and OE# signals are at the correct logic levels (SEL high, OE# low).
Here is the schematic of the multiplexer 8311.MUX.pdf. 

Note that the two RSVD pins are left unconnected, but even after applying a PCB rework to tie them to VDD, the issue remains unchanged.

    Hi Danilo,

    Does your application have the capacitance needed for SATA communication on the SSTX/SSRX lines? This issue is likely due to differences in the protocols and their related hardware requirements. Are you able to share any waveform captures?

    Additionally, please make sure that the RSVD pins stay tied to ground in the final application/schematic. This is a datasheet requirement.
