Hi Exparts,
Q1. What is the maximum allowable current when the INVALID pin outputs low?
Q2. Is there a protection element such as current suppression on the INVALID pin?

Q1. What is the maximum allowable current when the INVALID pin outputs low?
This doesn't look like its spec'd for this device. From what I can see, we've spec'd it for 1mA of current. I don't know what the upper limit of this would be and I think it would depend on the Vcc of the device.
Q2. Is there a protection element such as current suppression on the INVALID pin?
This looks like an NFET which would technically saturate and clamp the voltage (current) when it enters saturation mode.
This is intrinsic to NFETs but is not considered a protection feature. I don't think relying on this to protect the device is a good idea.
