Hi,

Does DP83867ERGZR support EtherCAT Master? I found feature mentioned EtherCAT Master.

But I can't find relative infomration in datasheet. Thanks!

    Hi Jeff,

    Are you looking for EtherCAT or EtherCAT-G (Gigabit Ethercat)? If you only need standard EtherCAT I'd recommend DP83826A over DP83867.

    From the PHY perspective, it should not matter whether DP83867 is on the EtherCAT master or slave device. The PHY simply translates data between the MAC interface and MDI. Looking at Beckhoff's EtherCAT PHY selection guide section 3.3.1 lists DP83867E as being compatible with EtherCAT-G.
