TUSB1004: About the L_AC-to-capacitor trace length on TUSB1004

Hi AE,

We noticed the datasheet requires a minimum 0.4-inch L_AC-Cap trace and no more than two vias.

But our layout is limited to 111 mil with three vias.

Any suggestions, or should we rely on test data for optimization?

Hi,

Its best to use simulation data in conjunction with our recommendations. Our recommendations are based off of the material properties of FR4, changing the material will chnage the values.

Three vias for just the post-channel is too many. Is there any way to reduce the via count?
