SN75LVPE5412: Sigcon Architect 3.3 GUI cannot recognize all SN75LVPE5412 devices on the same I2C bus

Is there currently anything different between the configuration of the 2 devices SigCon Architect is recognizing and those it is not recognizing? What device addresses are the 7 devices configured to?

Without selecting Auto Detect, the GUI recognize 2 Downstream Devices and 2 Upstream Devices (DS1 (0x18,0x19), DS2 (0x1E,0x1F) and US1 (0x1C,0x1D), US2 (0x1E,0x1F)).  I can read/write from/to all above devices.  Sometimes there are errors 1129 when switching between Selections ( Configuration / Low Level Page/ High Level Page / Eye Height Page / System Page).

When click on Auto Detect, a message "No Device Found!" appears.  All 7 devices are shown in the Downstream Devices DS1 (0x18,0x19), DS2 (0x1A,0x1B), DS3 (0x1C,0x1D), DS4 (0x1E,0x1F), DS5 (0x20,0x21), DS6 (0x22,0x23), DS7 (0x24,0x25).  Cannot read or write to any devices.

Apologies for the delay. The initial 2 Downstream Devices and 2 Upstream Devices (DS1 (0x18,0x19), DS2 (0x1E,0x1F) and US1 (0x1C,0x1D), US2 (0x1E,0x1F)) that you are seeing are likely the default values in those selection boxes. This is the GUI page I see without any devices connected:

Are you setting the device addresses to match what is selected in SigCon GUI?

If you parallel I2C buses of two DS320PR412-421EVM evaluation modules, will you be able to use SigCon GUI to control all 8 devices on two DS320PR412-421EVM evaluation modules?

Hi Dung,

Since it is possible to configure all 8 devices with unique SMBus slave address pairs, it should be possible to use parallel I2C buses of the two EVMs. However, I am not sure if the SigCon Architect GUI was designed to connect to this many upstream/downstream devices simultaneously. It may be useful to check if the parallel buses function correctly when using an Aardvark host adapter as opposed to the GUI.

There is no scheduled plan to release an updated profile for the SN75LVEP5412 at the moment.
