DS90UB934-Q1: Registers related to LVDS lock

Part Number: DS90UB934-Q1

Dear sir

As shown in the figure below:
DA is the DES (934A) used by our company,
APS is the SER on the competitor's side.

QA:

1. What are the registers related to LVDS locking?
2. Are the registers set to enable the BackChannel function in Des?
3.Are there registers similar to the 936 that can be set?

  • Hi Wang,

Please see the feedback included below:

    1. What are the registers related to LVDS locking?
      1. FPD-Link RX lock is asserted in register 0x4D, you can also see other diagnostics in registers 0x4D and 0x4E
    2. Are the registers set to enable the BackChannel function in Des?
      1. Register 0x58 allows the back channel rate to be set, this is also where I2C pass through is enabled
    3. Are there registers similar to the 936 that can be set?
      1. The DS90UB936 is a different FPD-Link deserializer, for the UB934 and UB936 there are many registers which can be used to set up features on the device. These register maps are included in the datasheet and can be seen below for the UB934. Please see the datasheet for details.

    Best,

    Thomas
