Part Number: TCA9517A
Hi,
I am evaluating using TCA9517A as I2C buffer, between two modules powered by 3.3V, but one side (A) is constantly powered while the otherside (B) can be powered off.
TCA9517A 's datasheet says
- High-impedance I2C pins when powered-off
- VCCB and VCCA can be applied in any sequence at power up. The TCA9517A includes a power-up circuit that keeps the output drivers turned off until VCCB is above 2.5V and the VCCA is above 0.8V.
But on the product page, it says "Supply restrictions VCCA <= VCCB ".
- Does that mean, VCCB cannot be powered off while VCCA?
- What are the requirements to achieve high-impedance on I2C pins?
Otherwise, could you please suggest any alternative for this requiement?
Thanks!
