TCA9539A-Q1: Method to recognize changed port during MCU power off

Part Number: TCA9539A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAL9539, TCAL9539-Q1, TXE8124-Q1, TXE8116-Q1

Hi team,

My customers are looking for a 5V I/O expander and I recommend TCA9539A-Q1. While there is one function they want to achieve with the device. During the MCU is power off and the status of some input ports of TCA9539A-Q1 have changed, they want the MCU waked up and recognized which port is changed.

I saw that there is a INT pin that can send interrupt and wake up the MCU, but after the MCU powered up and read the status of I/Os, the status is refreshed by changed status and old status is not saved in MCU for comparison. So any method to achieve this function?

(I noticed the TCAL9539 with input latch, but it seemed only support up to 3.3V)

BR,

Manu
