DP83869HM: Suggest RJ45 Connector

Hi,

We are using the DP83869HM Ethernet phy for 1000Base-T and data rate to be operate with the 10/100/1000Mbps. Please go through the schematics and suggest possibilities if any we missed for proper operation. We have used the RJ45 connector with internal magnetics (P/N: HFJ11-1G06E-L12RL), does it compatable with the DP83869HM Ethernet phy. And is there any like RJ45 connectors should be selected based on the Ethernet PHY or what.?DP ETHERNET.png

    Hi,

    MDC does not need to be pulled up to VDDIO unless the MAC does not operate MDC in push pull.

    For strap verification, I recommend to use schematic checklist (https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/snlr051)

    For RJ45, we typically recommend RJ45 with discrete magnetics. We recommend Pulse HX5008NL. If this cannot be met, please ensure the integrated magjack specification meets the recommended specifications of the magnetics as much as possible.
