TIC12400-Q1: Register configuration recommendation

Part Number: TIC12400-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIC12400,

Hi team,

Please check the question below:

Peripheral Circuit:

12V system, the IO pin of TIC12400 is connected in series with a 1kohm resistor to a detection switch, which is then connected to GND. Capacitors of 4.7nF and 10nF are connected between the two ends of the resistor and GND respectively.

Question Description:

How to ensure signal reliability during detection when the switch is in a wet state (assumed resistance: 2kohm to Mohm range) but actually open-circuited? What are the reasonable register parameter settings, and are there any recommended values?

Questions Regarding Register List:

1. Current Source Register (CURRENT_SRC): What are the reasonable values for sink terminals IN4-IN9 and source terminals IN10-IN15? (Options: 2mA, 5mA, 10mA, 15mA)

2. Comparator Threshold Register (THERS_COMP): What is the recommended parameter? (Options: 2V, 2.7V, 3V, 4V)

3. Detection Filter Register (DET_FILTER): What is the recommended parameter? (Options: 0ms, 1ms, 2ms, 4ms)

4. In multi-channel polling mode, does the polling time (configured via POLL_TIME and POLL_ACT_TIME registers) affect signal acquisition?

Regards,

Eileen
