Hi I was looking at the datasheet for this component and just wanted to confirm if the GMSL protocol is compatible with this chip?

Hi Maximiliano,

What data rate and modulation is planned to be used for this GMSL application? My understanding is that there are several different GMSL versions. In addition, would the redriver be placed between serializer and deserializer modules?

Hi Gregroy, this is using PAM4 modulation at 6Gbs. We plan to use the redriver between the serializer and deserializer.

Hi Maximiliano,

The DS560MB410 will support the forward channel PAM4 signal at 6Gbps. Is the GMSL reverse channel functionality used in this application? If it is, the redriver will not be able to support the bi-directional signal on a single channel.
