TUSB9261: Access to TUSB9261-SOURCECODE has been denied

Part Number: TUSB9261

TI...My name is Don McCarthy COO of PhenceMe Holdings Inc. We are a new Hardware and software development startup located in Houston Texas.  I previously provided my company details in order to make a request for the Source Code for your prioduct TUSB9261. We have been working on a prototype device that will substantially aid on securing data on a hard drive. This chip contains an ARM controllerand preprogrammed with all the firmware for USB ane SATA functions with complete USB protocol that that would be best fit.

This chip is perfect for our development as it already containsall tthe hardware and firmware for communication with the Hard drive. We already purhased the complete evaluation system which would enable us to change the firmware inside the chip. From there we requested the standard source code that would allow us to modify for our specufuc functional design programing.

As  noted above when we made the request last week I received an email today that rejected that request.  Of coarse having access to the standard source code for our ddevelopment would save substantial time in our development work so I would request you take a second look at this request on our behalf.

If you would like to have a verbal discussion on this subject in order to get a better understanding of our product development and company please call me.

Regards...Don McCarthy

  • Hi Don,

Sorry about that! I gave the request a review and we declined it due to a non-company email being used to request it. We require users to use a company email to request software from TI.com. We've seen Me.com emails used as email aliases for iCloud, which would explain why it was declined.

However, if Me.com is a company domain you use for your email, then I can try to make sure we approve it again upon a review, as long as you can confirm it's a company email domain.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

  • Ryan...thanks for your response and helping me understand the issue.  As I mentioned above we are a well funded hardware and software startup development company. We are a group of engineers that are still using our private emails that are widely known in our echosystem of which mine is d.mccarthy@me.com.  However, we do have a registered domain name Phence.me and my Phence email is don@phence.me.  Attached is a copy of my business card.  We have currently funded a subtaantive and interactive website with the intention of haveing it ready during the first quarter of 2026 prior to our first product launch. The product we are working on that we would like to use the TUSB 9261 chip we expect ot launch second quatter 2026.

If yoiu would like to varify me through the don@phence.me address I will be able to accept that email.

Please let me know if you require any additional information or varification. Yoiu might also verify us through our DUNS number 137304367.

    Thanks...Don McCarthy

FYI.  The products we are working on have fully issued seminol patents.

  • Hi Don,

If you could request the TUSB9261 source code again using that phence.me email, I will keep a look out for the request and approve it.

    Ryan
