TXB0302: Spec Clarification

Part Number: TXB0302

Hi team,

(1) Is it possible to input 1.8V to VCCB and a signal with 3.3V amplitude to Vin(B)?

Considering 3.3V +10%, the amplitude may reach up to 3.63V.

I understand that the recommended operating conditions state VCC, and the absolute maximum rating is listed as 4.6V.

I would like to confirm whether there is a leakage path from the Vin terminal to VCCB, and whether protection diodes are included internally.

(2) The datasheet block diagram shows 1Kohm for the output terminal internal resistance.

Is it possible to provide the tolerance range of this resistance value?

This is needed to estimate the drivable current.

Best regards,
Kazuki Itoh

  • Hi team,

Could you please respond to this inquiry?

    Best regards,

  • Hi Itoh-san,

Note that VCCI is referenced to the VCCx (A/B) with the input port. While there is no leakage back biasing to VCC from VCCI, it is operating outside of datasheet and therefore functionality and the switching ch. is no longer guaranteed.

You can expect 1500ohms as worst case value for variation of the driving capability. If a higher driving current is required, the customer should look into other fixed direction or direction controlled translators such as TXU0x02 or the AXC2T245 instead.

    Regards,

    Jack
