Hi Team,

We plan to use the PCA9306DCTR part in our current design. In our application, VREF1 is fixed at 1.8V, and VREF2 will be either 1.8V or 3.3V, depending on a selection switch.

Could you please confirm if the PCA9306DCTR will work correctly when VREF2 is at both the 1.8V and 3.3V levels?

If this part is not suitable for this dual-voltage requirement, could you recommend an alternative I2C level translator that supports this voltage configuration?

Hi Praven,

PCA9306DCTR would work.

You could also take a look at LSF0002.

Thanks for the update.

I referred PCA9306DCTR datasheet, To enable the switch (SW), the datasheet specifies that the Enable pin (EN) voltage must be greater than or equal to 0.6V above the voltage on the SCL1/SCL2 pins and in my case EN pin connected via 200K to VREF2.

Furthermore, if I operate both VREF1 and VREF2 at the exact same voltage 1.8V, will the internal switch still be enabled?
