Could you help recommend a transceiver IC that can simultaneously support RS-485 for derivative models. Ideally, the component size should be similar to the TI TRS3243EIRHB pin-pin design.

Are you asking for a multi-protocol device like THVD4431 but supports RS232 and RS485 mode at the same time?

If so, we don't have a device like that in our portfolio. Our multiprotocol devices only support one mode at a time.

Only RS485 functionality is required, but it needs to be compatible with TRS3243 P2P products.

Gareth,

None of our RS485 devices are pin to pin with the RS232 devices.

Can you replace the TRS3243 with one of the multi-protocol devices? (THVD4411, 4421, 4431A)
