Hi Team,
1.what kind of state weak biased to GND?
2.BUS means CAN BUS?
3TCAN1462 is high impedance in this state. Why Tcan1044 has this behavior?

Hi Shoo,
1. Weak implies high resistance / low current I.e., not floating in the partial power condition. Hence, high impedance can imply floating with higher resistance / lower current.
2. Yes, CANH and CANL bus.
3. It implies device architecture and not a right vs wrong case. I.e., weak biased to GND ensures a defined bus state when VCC is below UV and avoids a completely floating bus node that could cause noise triggered wake indications while the high impedance case may further minimize bus loading, safe across mixed networks. Hence, dependent on what works best for customer environments, thanks.

Michael.
Hi Michel
I understand there are pros and cons here. My customer want to know why we change from weak bias to GND in 1044 to high impedance in 1462 under same condition. If you cannot describe here, email to me.

SHoo
Hi Shoo,
Design confirmed they both offer the same high impedance, thanks.

Michael.
