Hi epxerts,

Customer did Ethernet SI test almost pass all the conditions but only failed on amplitude summetry. Since the positvie and negative ouptut votlage tests were passed, wondering if the amplitiude symmetry result is still critical? Could it be waived?   image.png

    Hi Allan,

    I don't believe the result is critical. Inherently IEEE specifications are very strict, but BU has seen perfectly fine communication in designs where there compliance result is very marginal. I would recommend giving customer more confidence in their design by encouraging a throughput test via IPERF. If there are no issues in this system-based application test, they are fine to proceed further.
