Can TCAN4551-Q1 be used for SPI to CAN or CAN to SPI conversion?

    No, the TCAN4551-Q1 uses a SPI interface to the MCU, but it is not able take the data from a CAN message and communicate with another device that has a SPI interface.

    We do have a new "CAN FD Light" portfolio in development that is intended for that purpose.  These are specialized devices that receives data and/or commands from a CAN FD Light commander node which translates these to either a SPI controller, UART controller, I2C controller, and/or GPIO pins to peripheral devices connected to the device it is controlling.  You can find a product preview datasheet of the TCAN5102-Q1 at this (Link).
