Hi team,
Is it possible to use WUP on this device at 500kbps, 1Mbps, and 5Mbps of the data rate?
Best regards,
Shunsuke Yamamoto

Hi Shunsuke,
Please help see section 8.4.3.1 of the data sheet clarifying 500kbps and 1Mbps works, but not 5Mbps.
I.e. " The ISO 11898-2:2016 standard has defined times for a short and long wake-up filter time. The tWK_FILTER timing for the device has been picked to be within the minimum and maximum values of both filter ranges. This timing has been chosen such that a single bit time at 500 kbps, or two back-to-back bit times at 1 Mbps triggers the filter in either bus state. Any CAN frame at 500 kbps or less would contain a valid WUP", thanks.
Best Regards,
Michael.
Hi Michael-san,
I am sorry for asking a question after I clicked the solved button. Are there ant TI CAN transceivers which support WUP at 5Mbps data rate?
Best regards,
Shunsuke Yamamoto
Hi Shunsuke-san,
Unfortunately, this is not really a thing per ISO standards as WUP detection is based on the bus timing for the arbitration phase and not the FD data phase.
I.e., devices in sleep / low power do not run at 5 Mbps to validate anything at that rate and typically using a filtered edge / pulse tuned for the arbitration phase and recommend to help customer understand if they need wake on certain traffic, a device like TCAN1145-Q1 with selective wake can be used but still, when all devices are waking up, they all go through the arbitration phase before the data phase for the 5 Mbps and best to detect wake as soon as possible before the other phase as the valid WUP is detected during the arbitration phase which comes first. Hence, all valid WUP should be during the arbitration phase and hope it helps clear the confusion, thanks.
Best Regards,
Michael.
