TCA6416A: Capacitor on RESET line for ESD

Hello,

We're finding we get nucense trips on RESET during ESD testing.

Is there any issue with adding a 0.01uF ceramic capacitor to the RESET pin to fix this issue?

Hi Keith,

No issue with adding a cap. If the IO controlling the /RESET pin is open-drain, you will see longer rise-times.

If push-pull control, this is less of a concern.
