Hi Support Team,

I am reviewing the datasheet for the TUSB216I and noted the following statement: "The TUSB216I helps a system to pass the USB 2.0 high-speed near end eye compliance with a cable as long as 5 meters."

Could you please clarify if this indicates that "Does this mean we can use a cable length of up to 5 meters after the redriver?"

Hi Min,

Depending on the overall length of the system, yes, we spec the TUSB216I as able to support a cable length of 5 meters. For systems with cable lengths of greater than 5 meters from host to device, then another redriver would be recommended in the system.
