TUSB2E221: How to achieve eUSB2 compliance test

Hi team,

Customer will use our eUSB2 repeater and they have two options they need to cover. One is top of the image that laptop receive USB2 signal. This is majority and customer is used to this USB2 compliance test using test their jig.

Another is bottom of the image that laptop receive eUSB2 signal from a device. This is minority and customer doesn't have the knowledge to test eUSB2. Could you help to share how to test eUSB2 compliance? It will be helpful if you share recommended test jig.

    Hi Koyo,

    For compliance with eUSB2, there is no real eUSB2 compliance software or tool yet as of now. The best way to determine if your eUSB2 signal is compliant is to capture an eye diagram with the eUSB2 signal, and using the eye diagram templates listed in section 7.1.5 of the eUSB2 specification to see if the signal enters the eye mask or not.

    Otherwise, the USB2 side of the repeater can be tested as normal for USB2 compliance.
