DS80PCI402: Clarification Regarding Cascading Two DS80PCI402 Devices

Part Number: DS80PCI402

Hello E2E Experts,

I am using two DS80PCI402 devices across two different PCBs. Based on TI's Typical Application, appearing in the datasheet, this configuration seems correct. In my setup, there are three PCBs in total: one DS80PCI402 device is at the Root Complex, and the second DS80PCI402 device is on a PCB between the Root Complex and the Endpoint.

Previously, in a resolved question (1163085),

Question about connect condition of DS80PCI402.

"you do not recommend cascading 2 x DS80PCI402s on the same signal path", but your response contradicts what is shown in the Typical Application diagram.

Could you please clarify your previous answer? It appears that you are cascading two devices in your own Typical Application example, so I would like to confirm if my setup is valid.

Here is out topology:

(COM-Express-connector) -> 13.2cm -> (ds80pci402) -> 2cm -> (connector) -> (flex cable-18.28cm) -> (connector) -> 2.54cm ->(DS80PCI402) ->2.54cm-> (connector) -> (flex cable-25.4cm) -> (connector) -> 3.048cm -> end point

Regards,
