XIO2001EVM: PCI card does not enumerate in XIO2001 EVM

Hi Experts,

Using this on a Win XP system. My dev PCI card will enumerate when plugged into a PCI slot on the PC motherboard and the EVM shows up in device manager as "PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge". However, when my dev card is plugged into the EVM and I observe the PCI bus signals with a logic analyzer, there is no attempt to config the dev card (triggering on FRAMEn, IDSEL, and CBEn = 101*) and the dev card doesn't show up in Device Manager.

Additionally, I tried to plug in a NI PCI-8433 card I have and the OS won't load. It makes it through post and the XP splash screen, then nothing. The NI card works fine when plugged directly into a PCI slot on the MB.

Hi Marvin,

Did you verify that the device has been configured according to the sequence outlined in Section 3.4.3 of the EVM User's Guide?

I found the problem. The power cable was not connected so the dev board was not powered.
