DP83826AI: Regarding the register setting for Interrupt Output Enable

I’m planning to design with the DP83826AI in BASIC mode.

In BASIC mode, Pin 21 is default interrupt output.

Is it possible to configure it as PWRDN via register settings?

Hi,

You can configure it as pwdn pin by setting bit 0 of register 11h low. For basic mode, this is set to high by default configuring this pin as interrupt only pin.

To avoid any misunderstanding, could you please confirm the following?

Even in BASIC mode on the DP83826AI, is it possible to configure Pin 21 as PWRDN by setting bit 0 of register 0x11 (PHYSCR) to 0 (low)?

Hi,

I apologize for the confusion. After further discussion with the team, it looks like this bit only works in enhanced mode.

Therefore, you can not use the interrupt pin as power down pin in basic mode.

Thank you, but I'm wondering if other registers can be set or not in basic mode.
For example, Auto-MDIX etc.
Are there any other register setting limitation in basic mode?

Hi,

There is no known other setting that is limited in basic mode for auto mdix and features noted in the table.

Sorry, let me confirm a little more.
For Enhanced mode, even if it has no external strap(only internal PU/PD), is it correct to understand that register settings can be made later?
