Part Number: TPD6S300A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP40801
Hi,
I just want to clarify confusion regarding the information given in this topic vs. data seeht.
Topic: TPD6S300A: What happens if D+ and D- are floating? - Interface forum - Interface - TI E2E support forums
" What happens if D+ and D- are floating?" -> "You can leave them floating, it should not have an impact on the operation of the TPD6S300A."
Datasheet:
"9.2.2.6 How to Connect Unused Pins
If either the RPD_Gx pins or any of the Dx pins are unused in a design, they must be connected to GND".
In the Reference Desing PMP40801 pins D+ and D- have been left open.
So, what should we follow?
Further remarks:
Datasheet says for pin 16, 17: "Unused pin. Connect to Ground ". However the layout recommendation on Figure 34 doesn't have pins connected to GND.
