SD307EVK: About JP settings of SD307EVK

Part Number: SD307EVK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH0307

We are considering purchasing the SD307EVK. We would like to use the LMH0307 without a microcontroller. To achieve this, we would like to conduct some experiments and verification beforehand.

Q) Can we send and receive SDI signals simply by setting only the jumpers(JP1) on the SD307EVK?

  • Hi Shuichi-san,

JP1 is used to connect to the microcontroller.
To use without the microcontroller, you will have to connect separate wires on JP1.
However, for simple sending and receiving SDI signal, JP1 connection for RST_N and enable should suffice.

  • Hi J,

     Thank for replying.

We understand your explanations. Let me check again. We have one more question at an end of paragraph. So please see that.

We considered the datasheet of LMH0307. We thought that a conditions for working "SD303 / SD307" are as follows.

     1.Remove all JP1.
Note; "RSTIn"pin and "ENABLE"pin are in a pullup. So We think that EVA Bord is not need a pullup resister at each Pins.

2.SD/HD pin has to add a pullup resister.
Note; We have to use HD mode.

       Circuit;

    (Question); Are these above correct?

    Regards,

    Shuichi Sugi

  • Hi Sugi-san,

    1. You are correct. The pullup should be enough to keep the device in normal mode.
    2. It looks good.

    Best,
    J
